Last week I was lucky enough to enjoy another Laduree visit! My good friend and I took our daughters on an adventure in Los Angeles, and made a stop at Laduree on Beverly Drive as part of our excursion. As usual, it was beautiful, delicious, and the service was excellent!
Laduree holds a special place in my heart. I had the chance to go for the first time last year while visiting Paris. I was walking on the Champs Elysee, overwhelmed by all the beauty and restaurant choices around me as I tried to decide where to eat dinner. As soon as I saw the celadon green doors of Laduree, I knew exactly where I would be eating that night.
It was truly love at first sight.
I had a fantastic eggplant mozzarella sandwich with the best French fries and gourmet ketchup EVER.
And look at this beautiful dining room where I got to eat!
But the best part of Laduree was the macaron counter after dinner.
I tried Pistachio, Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Raspberry, and Rose Petal macarons. They were all delicious, but the Rose Petal was by far my favorite. I have since tried so many other flavors! Coffee, Chocolate, Corsican Chocolate, Cassis, Marie Antoinette, Strawberry Marshmallow, Rice Pudding…! But Rose Petal remains my very very favorite.
My Laduree experience is one of the best memories of my time in Paris last year. I was over the moon when I came home to Southern California, and learned that there are a few Laduree locations near me!
So far, I have been to Laduree at The Grove Shopping Mall in LA, and the Laduree on Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. If you live in the area or are visiting, I would highly recommend the Beverly Drive location—the service is better even though it is smaller.
Even though the US Laduree locations I have been to lack the grandeur of the flagship Champs Elysee Laduree, they are still absolutely lovely!
I have gone to Laduree alone, with friends, with my Mom, and with my daughter, and each time it is just so special. Regardless of if you sit down for a meal, or just select a box of macarons to go, it is a fantastic experience that will make you feel super pampered.
Have any of you been to Laduree? How did you like it?
